Welcome to the City of Athens Employment Section. The City of Athens accepts applications only for positions that have been posted. Open positions are published in the Athens Daily Review newspaper, on the City of Athens and Texas Workforce Commission websites and are posted at Athens City Hall located at 508 East Tyler St., Athens, Texas.

PHYSICAL EXAM AND DRUG/ALCOHOL SCREENING
If offered a position, you will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening and a physical examination. The examination is performed by a licensed physician assigned by the City of Athens and there will be no cost to you.
