Codes Commission
The Construction Codes Commission duties shall include, but not be limited to, all the duties as prescribed by the present Ordinances of the City of Athens for electrical boards and plumbing boards.
All other building inspection, building examination, licensing, mechanical inspection and construction inspection is hereby delegated to the Construction Codes Commission, and any and all such other duties as may be prescribed by the City Council of the City of Athens, by resolution pertaining to buildings, permitting, licensing and inspection thereof or any part or any appurtenances thereto.
The Construction Codes Commission shall consist of the following members:
♦ One licensed plumber.
♦ One licensed electrician.
♦ One licensed heat and air person.
♦ One representative from an electrical utility company.
♦ Any such other person or persons as the City Council shall deem necessary from time to time for
such purposes as they may be required, with such qualifications as necessary in the premises.
